Problems, We Need 'em

That's supposed to symbolize life.
A while ago I did a post on problems, well sort of. Now I want to elaborate a little bit more on the topic.
One of the most common problems there is, is probably what we call "existential crisis". It's something we have more than often, even when everything is seemingly perfect.
But what is it exactly?
Well, to put it in layman's terms, we often reach a point in our lives when we don't know what to do next, or whether what we do now will have a positive effect later on.
This feeling of vanity can be experienced in many points of one's life. Mostly during school years, let it be high school, college or whatever similar. And then again around the age of 45, when one has built a solid foundation and a routine.
There are only few ways to get out of a slump of this proportion. One being feeling accepted and the other one being, acting out.
With the first one comes great comfort and an excellent way to see who is there for you. But this acceptance must also come from somebody how isn't bias towards you. That can, evidently, result into some hurt feelings, but a reality check isn't always a bad thing. It isn't to be expected that everybody will be open and comforting. But with this judgement you can get a more objective view on were you are heading.
The other case being, acting out. That happens, more or less, when one has built a stable lifestyle, either based on good finances or on a circle of good friends. Everybody acts out in different ways, the most common being shaking up the routine by acting recklessly.
One thing is for sure, no matter how our life is, we always need something that we can look forward to. When we don't have anything, problems can be a great way to put everything into perspective and appreciate what you have.
