We have all at least once said, "Ah man, I don't like this person." without knowing exactly why we have this feeling.

Through my life I have encountered many people that I don't especially like or even want to talk to. It isn't that they aren't polite or anything, it's just that they have a different perception of the world.

When people talk about chemistry in any kind of a relationship, they mainly talk about how well two people can communicate with each other. But they usually fail to mention why two people are able to do so.

In order to be in the position to feel a bond with a person you need to live in the same microcosm. A microcosm is basically a smaller society and consequently the way you feel or think the world functions.
Much like how humans can't communicate with fish, in a similar sense people can't truly communicate or are not willing to communicate with somebody who doesn't share the same ideals as them.

As much as one is trying to make conversation with another person who is living in a "different", if you will, microcosm most of the times the dialog runs dry. Of course there are also cases where it gets really messy and people get misunderstood.

On a totally irrelevant note, the word microcosm is Greek. It means small world.
